Expressive Arts

We can’t truly let go of the old information that shapes our personal reality without giving our minds something new to look forward to. Our memory serves as a record of the past, its primary function being to keep us safe. So, when we try to release a set of beliefs, emotions, and actions that have defined our lives, we need to replace them with new experiences that feel safe and are integrated smoothly into the brain.

Expressive arts are rooted in phenomenological philosophy, which means they focus on observing and describing reality as it is, without judgment. Unlike traditional art therapy, where a piece of art might be viewed as a projection of someone’s issues or trauma, expressive arts treat the creation as a third entity that seeks to communicate a message through the artist.

In expressive arts, the artist is not considered a rare or unique individual. Instead, every human being is seen as a special kind of artist. This approach uses multiple art forms through an "intermodal" process, blending different artistic expressions in a way that feels like a dreamlike, synesthetic experience.

Awakening synesthesia

Throughout this journey, I dream with you. Together, we leave behind literal reality to enter the realm of images-whether visual, auditory, poetic, or through movement. In this space, we engage in a dialogue with these images, allowing ourselves to be surprised and guided by the creative process itself.

At the heart of this experience is the artistic process-not focused on skill or technique, but on sensitivity. The goal is for you to return to your everyday reality equipped with a "suitcase" of resources you’ve uncovered, discovering strengths and possibilities within yourself that you never imagined were there.
